Our staff have assisted in the development of dozens of web courses for a variety of organizations. Here are some of the courses that are open for public release. For more information on subscription access or custom school safety web courses please contact us.
In addition to the resources below, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has several school-specefic Independent Study courses available online at no cost. This includes the course authored by Safe Havens analysts titled “IS-360: Preparing for Mass Casualty Incidents: A Guide for Schools, Higher Education, and Houses of Worship“. Free School Safety Web Courses developed for the Illinois Principal’s Association:
The following web course seminars were developed for the Illinois Principal’s Association’s Education Leader’s Network by the school safety and security experts at Safe Havens International. As part of this pro bono effort, the association has been kind enough to allow non-members to access this course at no cost through their Education Leaders Network.

This course covers some of the issues are seeing arise with school safety and the concept of locking down within classrooms and lockdown procedures in the wake of recent school tragedies.

This course explores how educators can create safe school environments with a positive culture of dignity, honor and respect through improvements in building body language and practices.

This course discusses how to build a safer learning environment through the creation of a culture of safety within the school. This course was originally developed as part of a statewide training project for the Hawaii Department of Education.
