A 13-year old girl was held down on a school bus by two boys while another girl punched her 8-10 times. She received minor cuts and bruising, and the assaulter was arrested, and faces expulsion.
The bus driver reportedly didn’t notice. Several students recorded the assault.
A 5-year old girl was pronounced dead at the hospital after being run over by a school bus.
She had stepped off a curb, and had turned to speak to some children behind her, while still walking forward. She ran into the side of the bus, which was making a left-hand turn, fell to the ground, and had her lower torso run over by the rear tires.
A former student of the British School in the Netherlands, expelled in October 2011, was arrested for making threats against a Dutch school.
Dutch police noted that there was no real threat, and schools stayed open.
