Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Independent Study
FEMA has hundreds of courses available online at no cost. This includes school related courses such as the one authored by Safe Havens analysts titled “IS-360: Preparing for Mass Casualty Incidents: A Guide for Schools, Higher Education, and Houses of Worship“. This course discusses how to build a safer learning environment through the creation of a culture of safety within the school. This course was originally developed as part of a statewide training project for the Hawaii Department of Education.
