identify a variety of hazards, critical emergency preplanning features, and ways to improve the climate, safety, supervision of students, access control, building design for future construction projects, and to enhance the learning environment of the school.
The training utilizes the all hazards approach and will cover a variety of hazards ranging from slips and falls, gravity hazards, bullying, to fires, acts of violence, terrorism and other types of crisis situations. The classroom training will also include a thorough overview of first- and second- generation CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design). CPTED is a research-based body of knowledge that is focused on creating improvements in security while enhancing the feeling of safety by focusing on the building environment and how people utilize that environment. Successful participants will receive a certificate of completion and a resource disk which will allow them to present a two day program to others in your organization.
